Most of the year, Chicane Marketing is a Marketing Merchandise company through which Emily and Brendan source clients and new sample products to include in the showbags. The other half of the year the business revolves around the logistics of organising showbags to be sold in six cities.
Emily says the three main challenges they face are stand design and construction, the cost of buying goods to include in the showbags and the cost of hiring a site at each of the shows. Employing the right casual staff to work on site at the shows is also critical to success.
"We use a hire company to recruit the casuals," says Emily. "It's more expensive, but because all the shows are interstate it saves us time and paperwork."
